This just in, 1/10/2008, from AOPA SENATOR THINKS USER FEES ARE DEAD Keep up the pressure! Attention all pilots, aircraft owners, mechanics, technicians: Another battle is at hand! Everyone needs to get involved, NOW, TODAY. Again, TODAY! Your voice needs to be put to the Senate, tell them about user fees, and what they can do with them! The Senate, AKA TAX Collector, is trying to bring back the user fee system, all this while giving the Airline industry another TAX BREAK. TAX Break? Oh Yeah, and guess who will pay for the BIG BONUSES to the airline executives, that's right, YOU WILL. Join the Alliance for Aviation Across America, it's free, and they have the links to your State Senators, and the letters are ready for you to send to them opposing this Airline BAILOUT. Join in the fight by joining Alliance for Aviation Across America. We cannot win this battle without the help from every Pilot, Aircraft Owner, Medical Examiner, Mechanic, Technician, Aircraft Broker, Line Service Personnel, and the list goes on. Alliance is made up of ALL aviation interests that oppose USER FEES, including AOPA, AEA, NBAA, PAMA, and many other professional aviation organizations. Let your VOTE Count, VOTE OUT those who have voted for, or are in favor of, user fees. Look at your congressman's voting record, then put your vote into action. Call them, ask them, email them, get their position on this important issue. Every country that implemented user fees on aviation no longer has a General Aviation that is strong and thriving, and most are either dead, or so expensive that only the rich can fly! Do you know a Pilot, Mechanic, or Technician from the major airlines that lost all of their pension plan when the airlines decided that they needed the money that was not theirs? How is Congress helping these people? There're not, they are too busy taking that money in the form of contributions, and all this from the thieves that want to keep them in office. VOTE THEM OUT! The mismanaged airlines will stop at nothing to gain their $$$$$$ bonuses while putting the screws to everyone else in aviation. So many of my friends who work in the "Airline" industry remember when they had an airplane, and so do I, they were customers too! The former FAA Administrator admitted on her way out of public office that it was the Airlines schedules that have caused all the delays, NOT General Aviation. Now is that a surprise? Get involved today! |
