Avionics Technician
Autopilot:
Job description: This position is for a
highly motivated technician with extensive experience in autopilot
system installation, and repair, which are used in General Aviation aircraft.
The ideal
technician will have a solid electronics
background with an emphasis on Autopilot systems, including the
ability to troubleshoot problems in the aircraft, troubleshoot and
repair various autopilot units to the component level, advanced
soldering skills for the removal and replacement of components
(including surface mount), the ability to utilize a variety of
electronic testing equipment, and a full understanding of the rules
and regulations for Part 145 Repair Station operations.
Experience requirements:
Completion of a formal
electronics training program (Civilian or Military), and a minimum of 3 years verifiable work
experience with an appropriately rated FAA approved repair station
holding an Instrument Autopilot rating. Preference is given to those candidates
with experience on the following systems:
ARC 200/300/400/800/1000 series
Bendix FCS-810/810A
Bendix/King KFC 150, KFC 200,
KFC-250, KFC 300
Century (Edo-Aire/Mitchell)
II,
III, IV, 21, 31, 41, 2000
S-Tec
20,30,40, 50, 55, 55X, 60 series, 65,
PSS, YAW
License requirements:
NCATT
Certification, FCC General
Radiotelephone. FAA Repairman certificate, or the ability to obtain
the certificate upon employment. Airframe rating a plus.
